Here’s a pretty good case that we never should have gotten the federal government involved in education in the first place, under the Tenth Amendment. The author argues that it has become another counter-productive form of welfare in this country, and should be abolished, Boston Tea Party style:

All those on either the far left or the far right who hate Betsy DeVos, the new director of the U.S. Department of Education, could get rid of her that way. Drive the say-so back to the states and localities, in other words.
